Biography
Rico Munn, J.D., has a robust background in higher education leadership as well as experience in the private sector as a corporate litigator for Fortune 500 companies. Munn spent a decade as superintendent of Aurora Public Schools, served as executive director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education and of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies – he served on the Colorado Board of Education from 2003-2007. Munn’s knowledge of the Colorado State University System also runs deep, as he served on the Board of Governors of the CSU System from 2013-2020, including two years as chair of the Board of Governors.
Munn most recently served as Chief of Staff for CSU President Amy Parsons, where he was responsible for coordinating across the institution to implement the administration’s strategic priorities, plans and initiatives. Munn graduated with a BA from Midland Lutheran College and earned his juris doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He also has a graduate certificate in crisis management from St. Joseph’s University.
