Each program in the department supports the long-standing interest of our disciplines in becoming professional musicians, teaching professionals, and those who intend to pursue an advanced degree in music.

We are delighted to introduce three talented individuals who have joined our team of instructors. Please join us in extending a heartfelt welcome to Ms. Abigail Silverberg, Dr. Oleksii Hamov, and Mrs. Nicole Cherecwich!
Abigail Silverberg brings her exceptional skills as a pianist and a genuine passion for nurturing young talents. Dr. Oleksii Hamov, a gifted violinist, is committed to excellence and innovative teaching methods. Nicole Cherecwich, a talented vocalist, will inspire our students with her captivating voice and extensive knowledge of vocal technique.
Please join us in celebrating the arrival of Ms. Silverberg, Dr. Hamov, and Mrs. Cherecwich. We are thrilled to have them as part of our Music Department and look forward to the wonderful contributions they will make.
Pueblo Symphony Orchestra Opportunities for College-Level Students
The Pueblo Symphony Association has a partnership with Colorado State University Pueblo. This partnership allows students at the University to take part in several of the Music Education programs that the Symphony presents. Below you will find the programs we present, and those highlighted in red would be of the greatest benefit to college-level students.
Program Offerings
Music, BA
This program prepares students for success and advancement in reading, analyzing, and performing music. There are also three concentration areas available in general, performance, and education.
Composition/Music Theory Minor
The Composition/Music Theory minor is designed to provide a solid theoretical understanding of music as well as a broad foundation of compositional skills.
Jazz Studies Minor
The Minor in Jazz Studies is designed to prepare the student for a wide range of opportunities to successfully work in the jazz idiom.
Music & Audio Production Minor
The Minor in Digital Music & Audio Production serves as an introduction to the concepts of music & audio production.
Music Minor
A Minor in Music is suited for students in other majors desiring a foundational curriculum in Music.
Organ Performance Studies
The Minor in Organ gives practical organ skills for keyboard players such as service playing, planning, & choir accompanying.
Piano Pedagogy Minor
The Minor in Piano Pedagogy is available as an elective to students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Music degree program. This minor is designed to train students in the fundamentals of piano teaching and performance.
